So on a whim I decided to take a panel from some of the comics I have off-hand and reproduce them, but the catch was that I reproduced them with a character of my own. Now at first this seems like a cop out from learning how to learn someone else's style (when really it's more like avoiding bastardizing someone else's artwork with my foul foul pencil lines), but I found that by having to keep the character's body style in mind I learned more about how the body works and how to represent the characters on a page. I found it worthwhile and recommend doing this to the none of you who actually read this (unless you actually are someone in which c

First off, I did my 24 hour comic on-time. I started last Saturday at 10 in the morning and finished at about 1AM the next day. Not quite 24 hours, but I really wasn't going to be up all night doing this. The quality definitely suffered, but whatever. A lot of weird stuff happened because I just did the first thing that popped into my head. I didn't want to do anything too serious, not that I'm capable of doing anything incredibly serious. If it's not one thing, it's another. I either can't fit a speech bubble in, or I make it oddly shaped. Anyone have a good method for this kind of thing, or do I just have to be thorough in my planning... Oh, right, also I'm working on a new project... not the old new project, a new new project. It's on Bristol board now instead of crappy sketch-book paper. It's awesome, I might even upload it, like for serious this time. Not like those other times, those other times I was totally not as serious as I am right now... ...right?

Congrats on finishing a 24 hr comic! I just read it through, and I like your character designs! Drez is pretty dang awesome :D
Thank you, I've been working on the characters for years. It's good to know it's payed off to some extent.
Definitely! I'm afraid to say that I didn't get as strong a feel for Jayde's personality from the 24-hour comic, but maybe that was because it seemed to focus a little more on Drez? Still, I did enjoy it! :aww:
There weren't a lot of moments for her to show through. It's a situational thing.
